Calling all Volenteers

I found a lot of groups that help, donate and treat diseases in africa and they all wouldn't be in buisness if there were not any volenteers. The two main organizations are the Peace Corps and the Big Brothers And Big Sisters Foundation. Here is the backround of the Peace Corps. Peace Corps-In an unplanned campaign speech in 1960, John F. Kennedy challenged a group of college students to devote two years of their lives to helping people in other countries. With those words, the idea of the Peace Corps was born. In March 1961, President Kennedy signed an order establishing the agency, the purpose of which is to supply skilled workers to developing countries and to foster understanding between Americans and the rest of the world. Since its start, the Peace Corps has sent about 182,000 volunteers into nearly 140 countries to (among other things) teach in schools.
another Big fondation is The Big Brothers And Big Sisters Foundation as they are Building on the century-long history and expertise of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, Big Brothers Big Sisters International was founded in 1998. BBBS International's mission is to promote and support the development of Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs throughout the world, operating independently in various countries, and to help them build service capacity and create sustainability. This is done by providing consultation, technical assistance, training and materials for NGOs wanting to develop this proven mentoring model. BBBS International sets standards and shares best practices for effective and sustainable implementation of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
But there are not just those there are smaller organizations in different countries such as

Mandela and Pericles

1.They were both heroes in there own certain way end everyone respects them for that reason and more.Steven Biko was fighting for African Americans to be equal to everyone else. The soldiers were fighting for their town just like the soldiers today fight for our country and they have so much heart and dedication and that is why they are heroes.
2.He needs to keep the memory alive because Biko dedicated his life for what he believed in and if that isn't hero quality I don't know what is.

The Gods had some human characteristics such as love, hate, and jealousy. But they also lived forever. Some features of the democracy were only 1/5th of the population could run. Some of the greatest thinkers of ancient Greece were Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. The Olympics had many games that they all had to play naked such as boxing, javelin, discus, and races.
